The Healthy Villages programme creates vibrant villages across the Caerphilly County Borough, it improves the health of those villages by engaging the communities in activities that support physical, mental and environmental well-being.
Working with individuals, community groups and organisations, activities include environmental enhancement projects matched with healthy walking, litter and waste campaigns, community route-ways, increasing access to green open space, community food growing, environmental enhancement projects and supporting community events.
As well as fostering greater community pride and enhancing the natural and built environment of the community, projects are planned and delivered with sustainability in mind to ensure that they can be managed by the communities and villages after completion.
