Laura Edwardes from Penmaenmawr started on Groundwork’s’ job creation programme (Future Jobs Fund) in November 2010 with Environment Agency Wales in Bangor on a 6 month placement.
Laura, 22 years old, graduated in July 2010 in Environmental Sciences from Bangor University, and although she applied for many jobs, was unable to find anything suitable.
Now, due to her commitment and efforts, Laura has successfully been recruited into a job with Environment Agency Wales, as a Flood Awareness Wales Officer.
Location: Bridgend, Wales Ashley Stolzenberg, 21, from Maesteg found the lack of local jobs and fierce competition difficult. He now works as an estate worker at Eco Dysgu
Location: Cross Keys, Wales Laura Weeks, 19, from Cross Keys felt that it used to be difficult to find work she really enjoyed doing, but she is now able to fulfil her passion for working with farm animals
