Who We Are

Groundwork in Wales is a leading local, regional and national environmental regeneration network building sustainable communities across Wales.

Groundwork works with communities, public bodies, private companies and voluntary sector organisations to empower communities, building confidence and sustainability across the whole of Wales – socially, economically and environmentally.

With a successful track record working in urban and rural areas right across Wales, Groundwork in Wales assists the Welsh Assembly Government, local authorities and other national bodies to meet their aims. Our range of programmes have a particular focus on responding to the challenges of:

There are five Groundwork Trusts (collectively known as ‘Groundwork in Wales’) operating nationally and across the South East, South West and North Wales regions:

The national organisation is Groundwork Wales which supports the local Trusts, provides a national voice, delivers national programmes, explores new funding opportunities and develops new partnerships across Wales.
